Who is Project Eden for?
Project Eden is for students, career-changers, and young professionals who want real, ongoing guidance from someone who has been where they are headed — especially if you do not already have a strong professional network to draw on.
Do I need to already have a plan for my career?
No. Your application asks about your goals and current situation, not a finished plan. Part of what an advisor helps with is figuring out direction in the first place.
Is there a cost to join as a member?
No. Project Eden is free for members during this invite-only alpha.
How does the application process work?
You create an account, complete a short application about your background and goals, and our team reviews it personally. Once approved, you can browse advisors and request a connection.
How are advisors matched to me?
You can browse advisors yourself, filtered by expertise, industry, and availability, or view a shortlist of recommendations based on your goals. A connection only begins once you request it and the advisor accepts.
What happens after an advisor accepts my request?
You will be able to message directly and set up time together. The relationship is yours to shape — Project Eden provides the introduction and the structure, not a script.
What does becoming an advisor involve?
You create an account, complete a profile describing your background and areas of expertise, and go through a review process that includes a background check. Once approved, members can discover and request to connect with you.
How much time does advising require?
That's largely up to you. You set your own availability and how many mentees you're able to support at once, and you can adjust it at any time.
Is advising a paid role?
No — advisors volunteer their time and expertise. It's a meaningful way to give back and stay connected to people just starting out in your field.
What if I need to step back for a while?
You can pause new connection requests from your advisor settings at any time without affecting relationships already in progress.
Is Project Eden a nonprofit?
Project Eden is mission-driven at its core: expanding access to mentorship for people who would otherwise navigate their careers without it.
Is this an invite-only launch? Why?
We're launching in a small, invite-only alpha so we can build trust deliberately — reviewing every application and every advisor carefully — before opening more broadly.
How does Project Eden handle my data and privacy?
Your application details, goals, and messages are visible only to you, the staff reviewing applications, and advisors you choose to connect with. We do not sell or share personal data.
How can my school or organization partner with Project Eden?
We work with universities, nonprofits, and employers to bring mentorship to their communities. Reach out to institutions@project-eden.org to start a conversation.
